Competition Training

At Starich Academy, our Math and Science Olympiad programmes are specially designed to nurture logical thinking, problem-solving, and a passion for learning beyond the school syllabus. We prepare students from Primary 1 to Primary 6 for prestigious Math and Science Olympiad Competitions.

Lower Primary (P1 - P3) Math Olympiad Programme 

Our Lower Primary Math Olympiad Programme aims to build strong foundations & nurture interest beyond school syllabus through fun & engaging activities such as puzzles & games. Students will also be exposed to  beginner-level contest questions. 

 

Focus Areas:

  • Understanding basic arithmetic concepts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

  • Pattern recognition & number sense

  • Logical thinking & spatial awareness

  • Introduction to simple problem-solving strategies

Upper Primary (P4 - P6) Math Olympiad Programme

Our Upper Primary Math Olympiad Programme aims to help students master advanced techniques & gain competition readiness. The curriculum includes intensive training & review of advanced-level past papers with simulated exam conditions & time management, as well as strategy refinement & mindset coaching


Focus Areas:

  • Deep dive into mathematical concepts

  • Complex figure problems 

  • Logical deductions & reasoning

  • Full preparation for Olympiads such as NMOS, RMO, SMOPS, SASMO

Upper Primary (P3 - P6) Science Olympiad Programme

The Upper Primary Science Olympiad Programme aims to develop curiosity & broaden scientific understanding beyond syllabus, and achieve competition readiness & mastery. The curriculum includes intensive question drills & timed practices with personalised feedback, and revision & confidence-building sessions. 


Focus Areas:

  • Scientific observation & analysis

  • Advanced integration of biology, physics & chemistry concepts

  • Analytical & inferential thinking

  • Application of theories to novel situations

  • Preparation for Olympiads such as SPSO, RSO
